On Saturday November 12th, the Urban Entrepreneurs Seoul workshop took place at the Google Campus Seoul. The workshop was designed as an ideation event for students, young professionals and entrepreneurs. The event was organised by LIFT, an innovation platform from Geneva, Switzerland, the University of Geneva and Asiance. The Science and Technology Office of the Swiss Embassy in Seoul supported and actively attended the event.
Goal of the workshop was to develop a number of creative, revolutionary but practical ideas to improve urban mobility, energy & environment and food & agriculture. Ideation workshops take place all over Asia and the regional winners can go on to typify their idea at LIFT Geneva in spring 2017.
In Seoul, 6 teams spend all day developing ideas to bring water taxis to Seoul, develop more energy efficient buildings, initiate urban farming in office buildings, better harvest energy created and bring the virtual economy into reality.
Nathan Millard, Founding CEO of G3 Partners gave a presentation on entrepreneurship and the Head of Science and Technology Office, Christian Schneider also gave a presentation pitch about innovation in Switzerland, specifically the Lausanne and Geneva area.
